1. What is the exact width of your window? How far out from each window edge do you plan to hang the curtain rod brackets? I prefer 6-9" out from each side if I have space from each window in the room and it would look right in relation to my mantle etc. that is also in the room. Feel free to reach out with as many questions as you might have.
2. How many windows are you wanting drapes for and how many drapes per window?
3. Do you want the drapes to closed over the window completely and meet in the middle or to accent the frame of the window?
4. What is the length from where you will hang the curtain rod to the ground? I highly recommend hanging them right at the base of your molding as shown in the photos or 1-2" down from your moulding. This is a personal preference and there isn't a wrong answer as to how you hang your drapery. If you would like the drapes to have a slack and fold over onto itself at the bottom add another 1-2” to that and if you would like them to puddle add another 3-8” to the exact length. Measure and measure again. Be sure to check twice.
